No matter where you look, Assassin's Creed Shadows has taken the top spots in the sales charts almost everywhere. However, sales milestones were also achieved by Crusader Kings III and Ready or Not, for example.

Assassin's Creed Shadows has gotten off to a flying start. And not just in the German sales charts, which we cover regularly. The Ubisoft title also ranks first in Circana's US monthly charts for March, as reported by various US media outlets. The title even beat MLB: The Show 25, one of the top-selling sports games in the US. Last month's number one, Monster Hunter Wilds, came in third in the US, ahead of other new entries WWE 2K25 and Split Fiction.

But Assassin's Creed Shadows isn't just successful in the US monthly charts. The title also tops the all-platform list in the Spanish charts for March. Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition and Split Fiction follow in second and third place.

The situation is slightly different in Switzerland and the UK. Both countries are among the few markets that regularly publish weekly charts rather than monthly charts. As a result, changes at the top are more noticeable. AC Shadows is still at number 1 in the Xbox Series charts in Switzerland, but in the PS5 charts, the title has been displaced by Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, which occupies the top two spots in the various versions. Incidentally, the most successful Switch game of the week was Minecraft, while the most successful PC game was a Swiss production, Farming Simulator 25.

In the UK, Assassin's Creed Shadows has now even fallen back to ninth place after dropping to fifth place last week. The old and new leader there is Hogwarts Legacy, which even managed to stay ahead of Indiana Jones, at least in the software charts from GfK Entertainment.

But sales success cannot be determined solely by the charts. Just today, it was announced that Resident Evil 4 has sold over ten million units (see news). But there are other milestones as well. Paradox Interactive, for example, reports that Crusader Kings III has now sold four million units across all platforms. And Void Interactive's Ready or Not has sold over nine million units, even before the console versions have been released. Void Interactive CEO, Julio Rodriguez, says: "As we approach 10 million units sold on Steam, we’re beyond excited to bring the experience to console players worldwide."
