SAGA Barcelona Game Fest Wants to Attract Over 5,000 Trade Visitors
The organisers of Barcelona Game Fest, RetroBarcelona and SAGA Saló del Gaming are joining forces to establish the SAGA Barcelona Game Fest as Southern Europe’s leading gathering for the games industry. Over 20,000 visitors are expected, more than 5,000 of whom will be industry professionals.

In terms of dates, the SAGA Barcelona Game Fest follows the schedule of the previous BCN Game Fest. Specifically, the new and expanded event is scheduled to take place from 9 to 11 October 2026. The organisers will be using the Fira de Barcelona Montjuïc as the venue, which also hosts other international events such as the Mobile World Congress. Behind the new trade fair are the organisers of the BCN Game Fest, who have joined forces with RetroBarcelona and SAGA Saló del Gaming.
The goals for the new event are ambitious. The aim is to attract over 190 participating companies, more than 5,000 industry professionals and a total of over 20,000 visitors. In terms of content, the event is set to consist of a mix of a video game fair, a merchandise sales area, an esports zone and a large retro gaming area. In addition, an extensive conference programme and a supporting programme for families are planned.
From a German perspective, it is regrettable that the SAGA Barcelona Game Fest clashes with another event, Polaris in Hamburg. You can find an overview of the main events announced in our calendar.
