Elden Ring Nightreign Sold Five Million Copies in Less Than Two Months

Bandai Namco Entertainment is celebrating new sales milestones in the Elden Ring universe. Elden Ring Nightreign has sold over five million copies, while Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree has sold over ten million.

The two most recent releases in the Elden Ring franchise have both achieved major global sales milestones. The Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree expansion, released in June 2024, has surpassed ten million units sold worldwide. Elden Ring Nightreign, a standalone co-op multiplayer action-survival game released in May 2025, surpassed five million sales in under two months. The main game, Elden Ring, has currently sold over 30 million copies.

In addition, the release of Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition for Nintendo Switch 2 was recently announced, including the main game and the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion. This edition offers new armour sets for characters and additional customisation options for players' spectral mount. Earlier this year, a partnership with A24 was announced to produce a live-action film adaptation of Elden Ring, to be directed by Alex Garland.
