Der schwedische Internetdienstleister Bredbandsbodlaget (B2) will in Kürze seinen 80.000 Kunden Gaming on Demand anbieten. Über einen Lizenzdeal mit Cisco Systems wird dazu die Cisco's Ethernet To The X(ETTx)-Technologie verwendet. Neben Streaming-TV ist laut Jan Morten Ruud, CEO von B2, Gaming on Demand eine der wichtigsten Anwendungen, um Kunden vom attraktiven Breitbandangebot zu überzeugen. "Wir gestalten hier das größte IP-Netzwerk in Europa, wenn nicht gar in der Welt. Dies nenne ich wahrhaft Pionierarbeit: die Erschließung neuer Märkte und neuer Technologien."
