Nerdicon Leipzig Returns Already in June
Following its successful premiere, Nerdicon is returning to Leipzig—with a new date. Instead of taking place in September, the second edition will now be held in mid-June. The Call for Speakers is currently open.
The organisers of the second Nerdicon have already announced the first confirmed speakers: - Nathan Sölbrandt, Director of Business Development at Xsolla - Joris Schnabel, CEO of Dexai Arts UG, Head of Exhibition at Games Ground GmbH, and Co-Founder of Beat em Hub - Soren Lass, Business Development Consultant - Maik Reichelt, CEO of ByteRockers' Games - Jan Halwe, Business Development Manager at ByteRockers’ Games
But that’s not all: the open call for interested speakers is still ongoing. The event itself is scheduled for 12 and 13 June and will take place at Macromedia University in Leipzig. Attendees can expect panels and workshops, keynotes, and networking opportunities.
A particular highlight this year will be the FuckUp Night, where speakers share insights into challenges and failed projects.
The first Nerdicon, held in Leipzig from 19 to 21 September 2024, attracted a total of 700 visitors. An additional 160 guests took part in the conference format.
Behind Nerdicon is the team from Nerdic, the event agency also responsible for organising Games Ground in Berlin. Marcus Klöppel, Professor of Game Design & Development at Macromedia University Leipzig and former organiser of the Long Night of Computer Games Leipzig, is also involved. He is supported by Emilia Weigelt, who serves as project manager.
