Submission Phase for Games and Playful Media Festival A Maze. Begins

Six months ahead of its launch, A Maze. has officially opened submissions for games and playful media for the 2025 festival. Registration for the selection committee is also now open.
According to the published schedule, developers of games and playful media projects have until the end of January 2025 to submit their works for consideration. Registration to join the selection committee is also available until the same deadline.
The evaluation phase for submissions will begin on January 13 and continue until February 24. Nominees will be announced on March 10, with the awards ceremony scheduled for May 16.

Awards 2025 today, which are a crucial milestone in our A Maze. journey to positively influence the games industry and the cultural sector. I am happy about what we have achieved in the last 14 years: A festival has emerged that connects different cultures, art forms, and talents with their stories and passion for games. I am very grateful for that,” says Thorsten S. Wiedemann, Artistic Director of A Maze.
The A Maze. festival will officially kick off on May 14, 2025, coinciding with the Deutscher Computerspielpreis (DCP; German Computer Games Award) ceremony in Berlin. The festival will once again take place at silent green and Panke Club in Berlin-Wedding and will run until May 17.
In addition to the competition, the festival will feature an exhibition, lectures, workshops, and parties. The A Maze. Awards will honor achievements in the following categories:
- Most Amazing Award
- Human Human Machine Award
- Long Feature Award
- Digital Moment Award
- Explorer Award
- WINGS Award
- Audience Award
