Chris Hülsbeck, a well-known video game composer, has signed a deal with Munich-based publisher BGG Entertainment for Boulder Dash 40th Anniversary. The game will be published in April.

The German musician, who has lived in the United States since 1998, is composing the soundtrack for Boulder Dash 40th Anniversary, which is set for release in April. Chris Hülsbeck is known for his work on The Giana Sisters, Turrican, and Star Wars: Rogue Squadron. Over the course of his career, he has contributed music to more than 80 games.

"Boulder Dash was one of my favorite games when I got my first C64 in the '80s. I'm happy to be involved in this new edition of Boulder Dash 40th Anniversary and to contribute a remix of the title music and sound effects," says Hülsbeck, who also works as a lecturer.

The game will be released on multiple platforms and includes 60 original levels from Boulder Dash, Boulder Dash 2, and Boulder Dash 3 in their original look. In addition, over 80 new levels, including designs from the Boulder Dash community, will be featured. A level editor and three selectable characters will also be available.
