Two French Studios Win Sixth European Game Night
At devcom's European Game Night hosted by SpielFabrique, Business France and NRW.Global Business, where games from all over Europe were pitched to a jury and publishers, two French studios won big. The pitch contest went to Blue Ramen, while the youth award went to Shotgun King studio Punkcake Délicieux.
As traditional, the sixth annual European Game Night hosted by SpielFabrique, Business France and NRW.Global Business took place as devcom Thursday’s closing event before the games gathering party. The Game Night, this year moderated by Lara Smirnova, featured eleven studios that pitched three minutes each in front of a jury and several publishers. In the end, a winner studio was awarded 1,000 euros in cash as well as an all expenses paid trip to the Madrid in Game campus.
The pitches came from studios from Switzerland, France, Spain, Malta, Norway, and Germany. The full roster included:
The award went to Blue Ramen from La Réunion with photography game Mafate. And another French studio was awarded this night: As is usual, the Franco-German youth cooperation OFAJ-DFJW gave away an award to a studio from outside the listing. This year, Aurélie Sobhan of OFAJ-DFJW presented the prize to French Studio Punkcake Délicieux, the team behind Shotgun King: The Final Checkmate.
