Der deutsche Sportsender Sport1 sichert sich erneut die Übertragungsrechte an einem der großen "FIFA"-eSport-Events. Vom 19. bis 20. Mai überträgt der Sender den eClub World Cup im Internet, sowie in Teilen auch im Free-TV.

Der deutsche Spatensender Sport1 sichert sich die plattformübergreifenden Medienrechte für den "FIFA eClub World Cup 2018" (FeCWC) in Paris. Der Sender überträgt die Klub-Weltmeisterschaft vom 19. bis 20. Mai im Livestream auf seinem YouTube-Kanal und auf Sport1.de, sowie am Samstag ab 13:15 Uhr im Free-TV zusammen mit den deutschen Kommentatoren Malte Hedderich und Georg Raffelt.

Bei dem "FIFA" eClub World Cup 2018 treten 16 "FIFA"-Teams mit jeweils einem Spieler auf der PS4 und der Xbox One gegeneinander an. Dabie spielen die Teams um ein Preisgeld von 50.000 Dollar, sowie den Einzug in die Global Series Playoffs. In Paris mit am Start sind auch die drei deutschen eSport-Teams von Schalke 04, VfL Bochum und Basel 1983.
