Baden-Württemberg Seeks Exhibitors for "The Länd" Booth
Strikingly yellow and showcasing outstanding products - the "The Länd" booth is one of the attractions at the business area of gamescom. Companies from Baden-Württemberg interested in exhibiting can apply for a spot until March 21, after which a jury will make the final selection.
Organized by MFG Baden-Württemberg in cooperation with Baden-Württemberg International, the state-sponsored booth is supported by K3 Kultur- und Kreativwirtschaftsbüro Karlsruhe. For years, this booth - recognizable by its distinctive yellow design -has served as a key meeting point for developers from the region. The Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour, and Tourism Baden-Württemberg sponsors the initiative.
Applications for the 2025 edition are now open, but spots are limited as usual. Companies looking to exhibit at gamescom in Cologne can register with MFG until March 21. A jury will ultimately decide on the allocation of booth space. Importantly, the selection is not limited to traditional entertainment games—companies specializing in gamified applications, XR or UX solutions are also encouraged to apply.
Participation in the booth is subject to De-minimis regulations. At the time of acceptance, sub-exhibitors must not have received more than €300,000 in general de minimis aid over the past three years. This is particularly relevant because some games funding programms from both federal and state governments are categorized as De-minimis funding.
MFG has yet to announce the full gamescom 2025 program for "The Länd" booth. However, Baden-Württemberg traditionally hosts a reception attended by high-ranking state officials. In recent years, the booth has also featured networking events connecting exhibitors with publishers and investors.
