Stillfront baut sein Firmennetzwerk in Deutschland aus. Der schwedische Konzern kauft Playa Games, die Macher von "Shakes & Fidget", für 20 Millionen Euro.

Die Playa Games GmbH wird verkauft. Die schwedische Stillfront-Gruppe übernimmt 100 Prozent des Hamburger Entwicklers und Publishers. Die Übernahme lässt sich der Konzern 20 Millionen Euro kosten, wovon 14 Millionen in bar und weitere sechs Millionen in Stillfront-Aktien bezahlt werden. In der Spieleszene der Hansestadt ist Stillfront kein Unbekannter. 2013 fusionierten die Schweden mit Bytro Labs und 2017 übernahmen sie Goodgame, beide ebenfalls in Hamburg beheimatet.

Playa Games wurde 2009 von von Jan Beuck und Martin Jässing gegründet, die beide bis heute als Firmenleiter fungieren und auch unter dem neuem Eigener an Bord bleiben sollen. Jan Beuck kehrte 2014 nach dreijähriger Abstinenz wieder als CEO von Playa zurück. Der bis dato größte Erfolg des Entwicklers ist das Online-Rollenspiel "Shakes & Fidget". Playa Games beschäftigt rund zehn feste Mitarbeiter.
