The organisers of the Tokyo Game Show counted 274,729 visitors, a good 30,000 more than last year. This is the second-best result for the trade fair. Data on online use will be provided at a later date.

It is an impressively good result and proof that the Tokyo Game Show (TGS) has also recovered well from the coronavirus pandemic. According to the Computer Entertainment Supplier's Association (CESA), which organises TGS together with Nikkei Business Publications at Makuhari Messe, a total of 274,739 people visited the show during the four days. Last year, the figure was 243,239.

Since the organisers also provide the daily visitor numbers, it can be seen that the TGS was better attended every day than in the previous year. The results on the first two days, the Business Days, are particularly impressive. Here the TGS counted around 9000 more visitors than in 2023. Specifically, there were 42,031 visitors on the first day, Thursday, and 45,149 visitors on the second day. At the weekend, the TGS then reached almost 100,000 and almost 90,000 visitors respectively.

In historical terms, the TGS this year achieved its second-best result in terms of visitor numbers. In the record year of 2018, the TGS attracted just under 300,000 visitors.

The organisers will announce the digital visitor data at a later date. The next Tokyo Game Show will take place from 25 to 28 September  at the Makuhari Messe exhibition centre.
