THQ arbeitet weiter an der Stärkung seiner Marktposition. Nachdem in jüngster Zeit zahlreiche Lizenzdeals sowie der Ausbau der hauseigenen Entwicklungskompetenz auf der Tagesordnung standen, ist nun das finanzielle Backbone durch einen Aktiensplit gestärkt worden.

THQ Entertainment hat einen Aktiensplit im Verhältnis 3:2 vollzogen. Der Handel mit den neuen Anteilsscheinen wurde an der US-Börse Nasdaq am 9. April eröffnet. "Der erfolgreiche Vollzug unserer strategischen Initiativen, zu denen neben dem Aktiensplit auch die Unterzeichnung neuer Lizenzverträge und die Ausweitung unserer Entwicklungskompetenz gehören, sprechen für weiteres Wachstum in 2002 und darüber hinaus", kommentierte Brian Farrell, Präsident & CEO von THQ. "Wir sind sehr zufrieden, dass uns diese Schritte noch vor der E3 im nächsten Monat gelungen sind."
