This marks their first foray into the PC gaming market, with the initial focus being on launching games on Steam. They have plans to expand to home consoles such as PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and Xbox.

Fumio Yoshimura, President and CEO, Toei Company Limited: "Toei Company, Ltd. has launched a new game brand, "Toei Games," and is venturing into the new field of the game business. We intend to clearly position this business as a "new pillar" alongside the fields that have been Toei's mainstays such as movies, television, and events. Games are an extremely global form of entertainment that continues to spread beyond language and national borders. Our group's medium- to long-term vision, "Toei New Wave 2033," aims to deliver the 'stories' created by Toei to the entire world. We believe that our challenge in the game business, with the global market as our main battleground, is the embodiment of that vision."

The initial line-up of titles, which will be announced at a later date, will not feature games based on Toei's existing IPs (like Dragon Ball, One Piece, Sailor Moon, Digimon, Saint Seiya from Toei Animation or Kamen Rider, and Super Sentai). Instead, it will consist of completely new game titles created by developers from Japan and abroad. The first Toei Games title will be announced on 24 April 2026. Fumio Yoshimura: "Toei Games aims to create entirely new IPs from scratch, rather than simply utilizing existing IPs. We will leverage the technology and expertise we have cultivated through video production into our new game business, delivering Toei's unique entertainment experience to players around the world. Please look forward to Toei's new challenge."

The Toei Games logo was designed by the game development company Kairosoft. In addition to the logo, Kairosoft produced a pixel animation version of 'Waves on the Rough Shore', the opening sequence that has become synonymous with Toei films.

Kairo-kun, CEO and closing officer of Kairosoft: "I had a dream that I would start having sleepless nights from the day I was given the important task of creating a logo; What kind of logo would be suitable for the gaming industry, which is tossed about by rough waves while you're in bed...? Zzz; With the refreshing spring weather upon us, the logo celebrating this new beginning has been completed. Yay!"
