"Shiro" des Indieentwicklers Topicbird aus Kassel hat als einziger Vertreter aus Deutschland bei beim diesjährigen Indie Prize Serbia gewonnen. "Shiro" wurde als "Most Innovative Game" ausgezeichnet.

Bei der Casual Connect Eastern Europe gab es auch für einen Deutschen Indie Grund zum Jubel. Das aus Kassel stammende Team Topicbird gewann eine von neun Kategorien beim Indie Prize Award Serbia. Topicbird erhielt die Auszeichnung für "Shiro" in der Kategorie "Most Innovative Game". Nach eigenen Angaben der Entwickler ist "Shiro" eine Hommage an japanisches Design. Vom Gameplay her ist das Mobile Game ein Puzzle-Spiel. Topicbird hat sich selbst zum Ziel gesetzt, spielbare Kunst zu entwickeln. Das ist ihnen mit "Shiro" gelungen.

Die anderen Indie-Prizes der Casual Connect Eeastern Europe gingen überwiegend an Entwickler aus den Balkanstaaten, allen voran Serbien. Zwei Preise gingen nach Brasilien, einer nach Italien. Die Gewinne lauteten:

Best Game Art: The Enchanted World developed by AI Interactive. Bosnia and Herzegovina

Best Game Narrative: Galaxy of Pen & Paper developed by Behold Studios. Brazil

Best Multiplayer Game: SUPERVERSE developed by Superverse Industries. Serbia

The best kids and family game: OkunoKa developed by Caracal Games. Italia

Best Mobile Game: Golf Club: Wasteland developed by Demagog Studio. Serbia

Most Innovative Game: SHI?RO developed by Topicbird. Germany

Best In Show - Audience Choice: Don't Kill the Knight by Penguin Spot Games, Brazil
