The Polish development studio Mehuman Games (with around 20 employees) and the German publisher Toplitz Productions have jointly announced the Early Access release of their open-world action-adventure game, Vampires: Bloodlord Rising on Steam, the Epic Games Store, and GOG.com.

Vampires: Bloodlord Rising is an open-world action-adventure game set in a vampire realm. It features five biomes, co-op multiplayer for up to four players, and a modular castle-building system. "Beyond combat and exploration, you are tasked with growing your own vampire clan. Loyal servants carry out orders without hesitation, gathering resources and helping to construct and expand a customizable castle that reflects the your rule and ambitions," the developers say.

They plan to remain in Early Access for around 12 months in order to implement all the features on their roadmap, such as land expansion, story expansion, additional castle-building slots, new crafting recipes, new character abilities and forms, and character creation. Toplitz Productions: "Over the course of the Early Access phase not only the invaluable feedback from the community will be adressed, but a plethora of content added, expanding on all gameplay systems from castle building to exploration and character development."
