According to the US film industry magazine Variety, Amazon MGM Studios will adapt the video game series Mass Effect as a TV series. Many details remain vague.

The success of the Witcher series and Fallout have shown that gaming stories can be successfully adapted as TV series. Now another top brand could be released as a streaming series, one that encompasses a world that is at least exciting enough to last for more than one season.

According to the US film industry magazine Variety, Amazon MGM Studios is developing a Mass Effect TV series. Daniel Casey is to write the adaptation and implement it as executive producer. Karim Zreik, Ari Arad and Michael Gamble from Electronic Arts are said to be further executive producers. There are no details on the plot, schedule or cast. Thus, the project remains rather vague.

Amazon MGM Studios has not yet commented on the leak. Mass Effect has often been considered a potential Hollywood film adaptation from the gaming world, but no concrete plans have ever been made public.
