Ubisoft hat für Sommer nächsten Jahres eine Fortsetzung seines Erfolgsfranchises "Die Siedler" angekündigt.

Ubisoft setzt seine Erfolgsreihe "Die Siedler" fort. Wie der Publisher aus Düsseldorf mitteilt, arbeitet die Ubisoft-Tochter Blue Byte bereits seit Frühjahr 2005 an der Fortsetzung, die derzeit noch unter dem Arbeitstitel "Die Siedler VI" geführt wird. Der endgültige Name soll erst noch bekannt gegeben werden.

Für die Entwicklung gewonnen hat Blue-Byte-Studioleiter Ralf Wirsing zahlreiche Entwicklerveteranen, die bereits an "Die Siedler III", "Die Siedler IV", "Die Siedler: Das Erbe der Könige" und "Die Siedler II - Die nächste Generation" mitgewirkt haben.

"Unser Entwicklerstudio in Düsseldorf hat für 'Die Siedler VI' ein klares Ziel vor Augen: Das beste 'Die Siedler'-Spiel aller Zeiten vorzulegen", so Odile Limpach, Geschäftsführerin von Ubisoft.
