Nvidia used the Unreal Fest 2024 to present a range of new plugins for Unreal Engine 5. These are designed primarily to improve AI-supported control of MetaHuman characters.

At Unreal Fest 2024, Nvidia unveiled new ACE Plugins for Unreal Engine 5, like Audio2Face-3D, which streamline the process of generating realistic facial animations in programs like Maya and Unreal Engine 5. These innovations help enhance the quality of lifelike characters while simplifying workflows for developers.

The integration of ACE with MetaHumans introduces advanced microservices like Animation Graph, supporting the real-time, cloud-based deployment of interactive digital avatars. This allows characters to respond dynamically across various devices, ensuring a seamless experience. By reducing complexity, developers can build immersive, responsive characters with less effort.

This solution combines generative AI with existing digital human tools, offering more scalable and efficient pipelines, according to the Nvidia blog post. Nvidia efforts aim to enable developers and studios to harness the power of AI for more engaging, lifelike characters in gaming, virtual worlds, and other interactive media.
