Die Jahresbilanz von Vivendi Universal Games fällt dank Topsellern wie "World Of WarCraft" und "50 Cent: Bulletproof" positiv aus. Im Jahresvergleich stieg der Umsatz der Spielesparte um 34,9 Prozent an.

Vivendi Universal Games (VUG) bilanziert für das abgelaufene Geschäftsjahr ein Umsatzplus von 34,9 Prozent auf 641 Mio. Euro. Zu verdanken sei das Plus Topsellern wie z.B. "50 Cent: Bulletproof" oder auch "F.E.A.R.". Zudem verzeichnet das Unternehmen konstant hohe Absätze bei "World Of WarCraft". 5,5 Mio. zahlende Abonnenten zählt das Ausnahme-Rollenspiel mittlerweile weltweit. Für das vierte Quartal muss ein Umsatzrückgang von 7,2 Prozent auf 245 Mio. Euro verbucht werden. Allerdings trieben im vergangenen Weihnachtsgeschäft das gerade in den USA releaste "World Of WarCraft" und Valves "Half-Life 2" die Umsätze in ungeahnte Höhen. Eine Gewinn-Verlust-Rechnung veröffentlichte VUG nicht.
