Michael Graf to Internationalise Formats as New Head of Video Publishing
Michael Graf, most recently a member of the editorial team at "GameStar" and Head of Podcast, will be responsible for all editorial video content at Webedia Gaming in Germany as Head of Video Publishing. Oliver Stannius will take on new responsibilities as Head of Studios & Events.
With over 20 years of experience, Michael Graf is one of the most experienced game journalists at Webedia Gaming Germany, which was formed from IDG Entertainment, after being acquired by Webedia in 2015 (German article) . During this time, Graf has managed and driven various projects and was since 2021 (German article) a member of the editorial board of "GameStar" as well as Head of Podcast. He has now been appointed Head of Video Publishing. In this position he is responsible for all editorial video content for Webedia Gaming, i.e. the brands GameStar, GamePro and MeinMMO. He is also responsible for the GameStar, Maurice Weber, Nedkultur', GameStar Talk and NinotakuTV YouTube channels.
"The past year has seen the creation of new channels, bold experiments and the expansion of our reach. Now is the time to further develop our internal synergies and products," says Dawid Hallmann, Director Webedia Gaming & Editorial Global Gaming.
The growth plans are probably also the reason why the management of the video division will be split between two heads. Oliver Stannius, previously Head of Video (excluding Publishing), is the new Head of Studios & Events. He will expand the in-house production and distribution capabilities and further develop live productions such as the in-house event brand "FYNG - Find Your Next Game".
Hallmann hints at how much Webedia Gaming has planned in the area of video content: "We are currently working on the internationalisation of our video formats in order to increase the accessibility and thus the reach of our elaborate content. This will pave the way for larger and more exclusive projects and events," says the Webedia director.
