Wista Management has brought on board Christian Boldt, an experienced sales manager, to lead House of Games Berlin. Boldt was most recently Country Manager at Renact. Prior to that, he held various sales and sales management positions at companies including Becanex and MediaMarktSaturn.
“I am incredibly proud to be part of this initiative, which is all about enabling developers, studios, and freelancer to create, connect, and empower one another,” Boldt wrote on LinkedIn about his new job. “It’s not just about providing office space; it’s about building a vibrant, inclusive community where innovation can thrive. I look forward to working with our partners and the community to make this vision a reality. Stay tuned for more updates as we move toward our opening!”
Plans for a House of Games in Berlin have been in the works for many years. However, following the last election in Berlin, the project was included in the coalition agreement, and by mid-2023 (in German), the game association and medianet berlinbrandenburg had set out a concrete timetable for the first time. Over the course of the past year, numerous details have been revealed, such as the location in the historic Lux building and the branding. At the end of 2025, the opening date was revised to the second half of 2026, which is slightly behind schedule. In March 2026, medianet berlin-brandenburg, which had acted as project coordinator in recent years, handed over responsibility to Wista Management as planned.
