The inofficial indie capital of Franconia is growing: Thai couple Nithisatienchai and Punthuchat have founded their indie studio Mimu UG just now in Nuremberg with the administrational support of Pixel Maniacs founder Benjamin Lochmann. The 2D and animation support studio is on the lookout for investment offers.

Centered around Pixel Maniacs founder Benjamin Lochmann, the Franconian city of Nuremberg is becoming a veritable founding hub for international indies. After supporting the Italian Cocchiara brothers in founding their studio Abduct Media there, the freshly awarded German studio of the year 2024 has helped out husband and wife Watcharid Nithisatienchai and Sumunthana Punthuchat alias Mimu UG notarise their studio just today. The freshly notarised studio will be seated at Pixel Maniac’s office and co-working hub along with several other indies.

Nithisatienchai and Punthuchat are providing 2D art and animation support for studios around the world. For the EU settlement of their company and livelihoods, Lochmann is providing counseling and support in regards to banking matters, visa administration and games funding.

The company is founded without Lochmann or Pixel Maniacs included, Nithisatienchai and Punthuchat each hold 50 per cent of Mimu. Lochmann has offered the studio an optional involvement plan however, with the option for Mimu to opt for other offers instead, he made transparent to GamesMarkt.
