The aim of the Gaming Aid scholarship is to help young, talented people who are enthusiastic about games to get started in the industry, even if they are struggling to cope with the financial challenges of an academic education. Gaming Aid supports young talent in bachelor's/master's degree programs in game design, game graphics, interactive narrative design, sound design, and game engineering at selected universities with up to €800 per month. To be eligible for a scholarship, applicants must have a university entrance qualification from a member state of the European Union and be deemed to meet the requirements of the Federal Training Assistance Act (BaFöG).
"The games market thrives on fresh ideas, bold visions, and passionate talent. That's exactly why we're looking forward to receiving lots of applications for our scholarships – because every single application is a step towards a more diverse, creative, and sustainable games industry. We believe in the power of young talent and want to actively support them in shaping the future of gaming," says Christiane Gehrke, CEO of Gaming Aid e.V.
