With over 87,000 people, Game City Vienna 2025 has broken last year's record by about 2,000.

The 16th Game City Vienna with MediaMarkt as its main partner ended yesterday with a record attendance number. From October 10 to 12, over 87,000 visited Vienna City Hall. This marks a record: Last year, the event attracted over 85,000 visitors.

Organisers of the Game City are the Vienna youth agency Wienxtra together with event agency MICE and Men since 2007 and the City of Vienna. Vucko Schüchner, Managing Director of Wienxtra, emphasizes: "The fact that we are organizing Game City for the 16th time as Austria's largest gaming festival in the heart of the city is a clear commitment to the City of Vienna's approach: educate rather than prohibit. We are proud to curate this unique mix of entertainment and responsibility with Wienxtra. The record number of visitors confirms how much the community appreciates this format. Here at City Hall, we celebrate the fascination of digital games – and at the same time, our strong focus on youth protection and education enables a responsible gaming experience for the whole family. Game City is a unique festival that makes gaming accessible in all its diversity."

MediaMarkt, main partner of Game City: "As the main partner, we conveyed our enthusiasm for state-of-the-art gaming technology up close at Game City 2025. The event is the ideal platform to bring our diverse range of products, from high-end PCs to VR and gaming handhelds, to life. The record number of participants shows how much the community values this unique meeting place."
