Am ersten Tag der CeBIT sind deutlich mehr Besucher als letztes Jahr in die Messehallen geströmt.

Die CeBIT wird von Besuchern nahezu gestürmt. Laut der Deutschen Messe liegt die Zahl der Besucher deutlich im zweistelligen Prozentbereich über dem Wert des Vorjahrs. Dass die Rekordmarke von 560.000 Besichern für die gesamte Messedauer geknackt wird, ist allerdings unwahrscheinlich. Die CeBIT wurde in diesem Jahr um einen Tag verkürzt.
