Bladesong, the swordsmithing simulation game by Sun and Serpent Creations from Brunswick (Braunschweig) in Germany, will be released into Steam Early Access on 22 January 2026.

Bladesong is published by Mythwright from the UK. It had received several honours at DevGamm Gdansk in 2024, where it won the Public Pitch (Article in German) as well as the Upcoming Game Prize at the Digital Vikings Awards (Article in German). The game has received funding by nordmedia.

“With its unique blend of rich storytelling, freeform swordmaking, and RPG mechanics, Bladesong is a game unlike any other,” said Stuart Morton, Publishing Director at Mythwright. “The creativity and nuance we’ve seen from players in the Bladesong demo has been incredible and – with over 120,000 wishlists on Steam – we can’t wait to see the community’s imagination run wild as we head into Early Access and beyond.”
