As GamesMarkt has learned from Irox Games, free-to-play idle and social game Bongo Cat is currently sitting at 5.7 million players total. That marks a drastic growth spurt from last month, as Irox has shared: In January, the game has reached the 5 million player mark. It means that Bongo Cat is well on the way to break the 6 million mark.

Bongo Cat has been developed by Marcel Zurawka and Julius Krüger at Irox and is an idle and productivity game that sits at the corner of the screen. Every time players click a keyboard key outside the game, the cat plays its bongo. Since a multiplayer update last year, cats of friends can also be seen playing.

The game has a glowing review record, with more than 91,000 reviews sitting at 97 per cent positive. According to SteamDB, it is the 60th most played game in all of Steam.

Irox Games is currently publishing a new idle and productivity game, Tap Tap Loot, made by Turtle Knight Studios. There is a Steam Next Fest demo for the game online right now.
