Expert Jury of the Deutscher Computerspielpreis Has Met
The first meeting of the two-stage selection process for DCP 2025 took place on February 14. The expert jury reviewed the submissions and prepared for the main jury meeting, where the final decisions will be made.
The expert jury meeting also provided an opportunity for a new group photo, which has now been published. It features the 40 experts who gathered in Berlin to evaluate the submissions and lay the groundwork for the main jury session, which will take place at a later date.
This year, the main jury will be chaired by Sabiha Ghellal and will select the winners of the Deutscher Computerspielpreis (DCP; German Computer Games Award). However, the results will remain confidential until the awards ceremony, which will be held in Berlin on May 14.
The DCP is organised by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action together with game – The German Games Industry Association. The Stiftung Digitale Spielekultur (Digital Games Culture Foundation) acts as the award office. It has been awarded since 2009 as a joint initiative of the industry and the German Bundestag. So far, the award ceremonies have taken place alternately in Berlin and Munich. For the DCP 2025, the call for submissions was extended nationwide for the first time, with Berlin emerging as the winner.
