Im Rahmen der Microsoft-E3-Show hat Capcom eine Fortsetzung der "Devil May Cry"-Serie angekündigt. Teil fünf erscheint im Frühjahr 2019.

Auch Capcom nutzt die diesjährige E3 für die Ankündigung neuer Spiele. Im Rahmen der Microsoft-Pre-E3-Show wurde "Devil May Cry 5" enthüllt. Das Spiel, das allerdings auch für PS4 und PC erscheint, soll im Frühjahr 2019 auf den Markt kommen. Für die Entwicklung zeichnet erneut Hideaki Itsuno verantwortlich, der sich zehn Jahre nach dem letzten Teil für "DMC5" mit seinem Kernteam an Entwicklern zusammengetan hat. Die "Devil May Cry"-Reihe ist bei Kritikern sehr beliebt. Mit über 16 Millionen verkauften Einheiten ist die Marke ein internationaler Erfolg, reicht aber nicht an Capcoms absolute Topbrands wie "Street Fighter", "Resident Evil" oder "Monster Hunter" heran.
