For Kalypso Media, Commandos: Origins is probably the most important release of the year. The debut title from Claymore Game Studios in Darmstadt will be released later this year. The closed beta will start in the summer of 2024.

Kalypso Media and Claymore Game Studios have given a sneak peek at the real-time tactical stealth game Commandos: Origins during the ID@Xbox Showcase by Microsoft and IGN.  The teaser features gameplay footage as Claymore Game Studios announce the launch of the closed beta this summer.

"During the alpha playtest of Commandos: Origins we were able to gather very valuable feedback, which is now being processed and implemented. The enthusiasm of the community is very motivating. We take their feedback seriously and are working hard to improve the game experience. The upcoming closed beta will help us even more to deliver an immersive and engaging Commandos experience," said Jürgen Reusswig, Studio Director at Claymore Game Studios.

For Kalypso, Commandos: Origins is undoubtedly the most important release of the year.  It is also the first game from Claymore Game Studios, which was founded in Darmstadt in 2020. Development was funded with 1,532,519 euros from the German government's computer games funding programme. Commandos: Origins will be released in 2024 as part of the Xbox Game Pass for console and PC, as well as for Xbox Series X|S, PC and PlayStation 5. It will be the first new game in the Commandos franchise since Commandos: Strike Force in 2006. In July 2018, Kalypso Media acquired the brand rights to the series and subsequently released HD remasters of Commandos 2 and Commandos 3 for PC and consoles.
