Hamburg Studio CrazyBunch is Closing
After 2024, the Hamburg studio CrazyBunch is closing its doors. Team members shared the news that after the current project Tattoo Tycoon is wrapped up, the studio will be shut down. The team was among other games responsible for two reboots of the Leisure Suit Larry series.
At the end of the year, the studio CrazyBunch from Hamburg is closing its doors. Longtime Game and Narrative Designer Svenja Borchert revealed this on social media, along with a list of the team members looking for a new job from January 2025 onward. The studio will wrap up operations after the current project, Tattoo Tycoon, is finished at the end of the year.
CrazyBunch has been a longtime stable of the Hamburg and German games industry, having been founded in 2014. Starting out with mobile games like Split’s Amazing Journey, the studio went on to produce, among other games, Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Don’t Dry und Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Dry Twice under Assemble Entertainment. It also worked together with Daedalic Entertainment on Anna’s Quest.
The posting does not give a reason for the closure of the studio. However, Borchert shares that the news came unexpected to the employees. GamesMarkt has requested a statement from the studio leadership. Currently, eight of the team members are part of the list looking for new jobs.
