The Madeira Games Summit was eagerly anticipated, especially since it was held for the first time this year. With 120 participants from Epic Games, Unreal Engine, 2K Games, Bossa Games, Electronic Arts, FunPlus, Krafton, Unity, and others, the limited high-level event was a complete success from Devgamm's perspective. A comeback next year is therefore likely.
We already featured the KPIs summarized in the review last week, such as the number of visitors, which set a new record at 1,122, and the expansion to Dubai. In addition, the organizers also provided further insights into the figures.
There is a more detailed evaluation of the composition of participants by country. It comes as no surprise that most visitors came from Portugal (44%). This was followed by the United Kingdom (7%). Five percent of visitors came from Poland and Portugal's neighbor Spain. Four percent of participants came from Germany.
It is also interesting to note that 61.2% of all participants were attending DevGamm for the first time. Given its success, a large number of them are likely to return next year. More impressions of DevGamm 2025 in Lisbon can be found in our photo recap.
