12 Nominations for Studios from the GSA Region at the BIG Festival
A total of 962 games from 71 countries were submitted for the BIG Festival at gamescom latam. Now, the 90 finalists have been selected—including 12 games from 9 studios in the GSA region (Germany, Switzerland, and Austria). In addition, more exhibitors have been confirmed for the event.
Even though the BIG Festival shortlist is relatively long, it comes as a pleasant surprise for many European and German teams. Among the 90 finalists—selected from 962 submissions across 71 countries—numerous titles have been developed by European studios.
The GSA region has received 12 nominations from 9 different studios. The Austrian studio Microbird Games stands out with its title Dungeons of Hinterberg, which has been nominated three times, including in the Best Game category. In this category, it competes against:

With more than 17 different awards, two award ceremonies will take place on 30 April and 4 May. Latin America is well represented, with 19 games from Brazil 6 from Argentina, 4 from Mexico and 1 each from Colombia, Costa Rica, and Uruguay. In total, 32 Latin American games are competing in the festival.

The organisers of gamescom latam have also announced additional exhibitors. Previously confirmed companies included Pokémon Go, Warner Bros. Games, Level Infinite, Gravity, and Steam. Now, Devolver Digital, DANGEN Entertainment, Critical Reflex, Fellow Traveller, Humble Games, and Nuuvem have joined the lineup.
gamescom latam will take place from 30 April to 4 May in São Paulo and is jointly organised by Koelnmesse, Omelete Company, BIG Festival, and game. The first edition of gamescom latam was a success that exceeded expectations, solidifying its place as a premier gaming event in Latin America.
