The first session of game’s new webinar series on funding is scheduled for 20 April. The opening session will provide an overview of funding opportunities at EU and federal level. To this end, game has secured Uta Eberhardt from the Creative Europe Desk, as well as Paul Mathia and Fabienne Blum from the DLR Project Management Agency for Federal Games Funding, as speakers.
Following the launch event, four further webinars will take place at intervals of approximately one week, each focusing on the very different funding landscapes across Germany’s federal states. Representatives from the relevant funding agencies have been secured as speakers. The specific dates are:
- Introductory webinar – Overview of funding opportunities at EU and federal level (20 April 2026, 3.00 pm) Registration link
- In-depth session I – Bavaria, North Rhine-Westphalia, Berlin (27 April 2026, 11.00 am) Registration link
- In-depth session II – Baden-Württemberg, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, Thuringia (7 May 2026, 11:00 am) Registration link

The webinars will be held in German, are aimed at anyone who develops games, and are also open to non-members of the association as a service. However, prior registration is required. “Whether at EU, federal or state level: a lot has changed in games funding in recent years. With our webinar series, we want to help everyone become more familiar with the existing opportunities and thus make more targeted use of them. That is why we are offering the webinars to everyone,” says game Managing Director Felix Falk.
