Three titles achieved the criteria for a sales award set by the Game Association in November. Unlike Farming Simulator 25 and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Sony's Astro Bot received its award on only one platform, the PS5.

Released in September, Astro Bot sold over 100,000 units on the PlayStation 5 in Germany alone, meeting the criteria for a Gold Award. In November, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora achieved the Platinum Award for surpassing 200,000 units sold. This recognition came just in time, as the game was released in December 2023. To qualify for a game Sales Award, the total sales of a title across all platforms within the first twelve months of its release are counted.

There is still ample opportunity for further sales awards for the third title recognized in November: Farming Simulator 25 - known as Landwirtschafts-Simulator 25 in Germany. Despite being released in November, the game sold over 400,000 units across all platforms in Germany by the end of the month. This milestone earned the game a Double Platinum Award for developer Giants Software and its distribution partner Astragon.

When it comes to the year-end charts, Farming Simulator 25 is currently projected to rank between third and fifth place. Both EA Sports FC 25 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 have already achieved the Multi-Platinum Award in September and Octorber for surpassing 600,000 units sold, placing them ahead of the simulation game. Similarly, Helldivers 2, released in February, has also received a Double Platinum Award. The same honor applies to Super Mario Bros. Wonder.

Other games that crossed the 400,000-unit mark within the first 12 months after their German release in 2024 include Assassin's Creed Mirage and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. However, as these titles were originally released in 2023, a significant portion of their sales is not eligible for the 2024 annual charts.

The Game Sales Awards are based on sales data from the Video Games Europe industry panel GSD (Game Sales Data). Titles that sell more than 100,000, 200,000, 400,000, or 600,000 copies across all platforms in Germany within their first twelve months are eligible to receive Gold, Platinum, Double Platinum, or Multi-Platinum Awards, respectively.
