Politicians making the switch to the gaming industry, Daedalic’s new identity, and the fallout from the now-completed EA acquisition—the news continues to be exciting. And, of course, gamescom remains a hot topic.

go very well together. And by that I don’t mean the many political figures we’ll see at gamescom this time around. Although Áslaug Arna Sigurbjörnsdóttir might also be coming to gamescom—just not in her former role as Iceland’s Minister of Justice and Minister of Education and Research. Sigurbjörnsdóttir is now Senior Director of AI Partnerships at Fenris Creations, formerly CCP Games. I’ll admit, as a journalist, I’m a little tempted to speculate: which German politician might end up joining which German studio?

Daedalic Entertainment has unveiled its new visual identity and announced that its "Daedalic Days - Late at Night" showcase will be broadcast on Twitch and YouTube on 13 August. The showcase will feature sneak peeks of new titles from independent development teams.
