Electronic Arts, Roblox, Kalypso Media, Giants Software, and More Confirmed
At today's press conference, the organisers confirmed numerous additional partners and exhibitors for gamescom, including major US companies such as Electronic Arts, Roblox and 2K Games, as well as participants from the GSA such as Giants, Kalypso Media and Freaks 4U Gaming.
Koelnmesse and game Vebands did not disclose the exact line-ups of the companies or the areas and sectors in which they will be located. It is up to the partners themselves to decide when and how they will announce the details. In some cases, such as Kalypso and Giants, the companies have announced this themselves.
Dr Anika Thun, Managing Director of Kalypso Media Group GmbH, said: "gamescom is the most important event in the gaming industry worldwide and the perfect opportunity to engage in direct dialogue with our community. We meet our fans not only as players, but as passionate members of our community. Their ideas, enthusiasm and feedback are an essential part of our games – and we are very much looking forward to their initial feedback on our upcoming portfolio." However, Kalypso will also publish exact details of the line-up at a later date.
The situation is different at Giants Software. The Swiss company already knows that it will be bringing its two top new releases, Farming Simulator and Project Motor Racing, to Cologne.
Freaks 4U has also announced that the Berlin-based agency will be appearing as an esports partner at gamescom and will have its own area.
Although there have been no statements from the companies regarding the US majors that have now also been confirmed, you don't need to be a fortune teller to know that Electronic Arts will certainly be focusing on EA Sports FC 26 in a football-loving country like Germany. It is also clear that Roblox's appearance will be about Roblox as a game and as a platform. And it would be very surprising if 2K Games didn't have something to show for NBA 2K26 in Cologne. On the other hand, maybe the companies will surprise us.
