GamesMarket Daily – 20. July 26: EU Funding, Assemble x Pithead, Gryphon Games, Leyline, AC Black Flag
Surprising successes, well-deserved funding, new partnerships – much of today’s news revolves around the theme of support. After all, with support – whether financial or otherwise – many things become much easier.
many things become much easier, as can be seen, for example, from the current EU funding scheme. I am not primarily referring to the financial support received by the four German and three French games projects, but rather to the fact that the European Games Developers’ Federation (EGDF) now provides such consistent information on funding opportunities that, in this instance, seven out of eleven funded projects in the ‘Innovative Tools and Business Models’ category come from the games sector. This not only underlines once again just how innovative the industry is, but also serves as a model for other studios, showing that a games studio can also make its mark with technology and earn money or finance projects.
Here are the news of the day!
