The number one demo on Steam, with a 95 per cent ‘very positive’ rating – the announcement of Guildrun has turned into a real success story for Leyline. According to the Munich-based indie team, Guildrun had already surpassed the 100,000 wishlist mark just four days after its announcement. At times, the demo recorded more than 10,000 concurrent users, an astonishingly high figure for a demo.

“Of course, we had some projections on how it could go, but this exceeded our wildest expectations. To be honest, we have yet to process what happened. Over the weekend, it was a big surprise seeing thousands of players, the positive reception and many content creators loving our game and posting daily videos on it. “, said the team at Leyline.

Guildrun is Leyline’s debut game. The title is due to be released in the first half of 2027. Leyline is receiving funding for the game’s development from both FFF Bayern and the federal government.
