This rather unique rhythm game, which was previously only available on VR platforms, is now coming to the Nintendo Switch. Although it's not Beat Saber, its basic concept is very similar and works extremely well.
In Maestro, players take on the role of a symphony orchestra conductor, using motion controls to direct the musicians. Stepping onto the podium, they lead the musicians with intuitive and expressive gestures. Players hold a Joy-Con in each hand: one to guide the baton and maintain the tempo, and the other to cue different sections of the orchestra and control the dynamics. The game's repertoire includes classical pieces by composers such as Beethoven, Brahms and Mozart, as well as film and TV soundtracks from franchises such as Star Wars, The Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter. A new track, 'Ashes on the Fire' from Attack on Titan, is also available.

With four difficulty modes, global leaderboards, and a range of cosmetic unlocks, Maestro offers a challenge to rhythm game veterans and is accessible to newcomers alike. The game supports both tabletop and docked play.
Previously available only on Meta Quest, PSVR2, Pico, and SteamVR, the game — named Meta's Game of the Year in 2024 — is now making the leap to a non-VR platform. French indie studio Double Jack has adapted the game's core mechanics for Nintendo hardware, taking into account Joy-Con motion controls and flexible play styles. The studio has also rebuilt the game's dynamic camera and hand-animation system for flat screens.
