The board game King of Tokyo, created by Richard Garfield, original inventor ofMagic: The Gathering, will make its video game debut on May 21, 2026. Microids will bring the digital board game to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam. PS5 and Switch will get physical releases as well, which will include exclusive cards that can be used as expansions for the original board game.

King of Tokyo has been released in 2011 by Richard Garfield through board game publisher lello. It has been awarded the Dutch Board Game Award in 2013. In Germany, Heidelberger Spieleverlag and Hutter Trade have the distribution rights.
