MAG-C Attracts More Visitors and Announces Plans for 2026
This year’s MAG-C in Erfurt welcomed 12,300 visitors, marking another successful Community Convention for both exhibitors and Messe Erfurt. With a slight date adjustment, Messe Erfurt is already preparing for 2026.
For the first time, the MAG-C programme was held in Halls 1 and 2 of the Messe Erfurt venue, providing more space for themed worlds and exhibitors. The event featured 117 exhibitors from eight countries, who engaged with 12,300 visitors—500 more than last year (in German) and a new record for the convention in Erfurt, Thuringia. Additionally, 60 creators from the gaming, anime, and cosplay scenes participated, while the Indie Game Arena showcased 15 studios from Germany and Austria presenting their latest projects.
"MAG-C is a unique meeting place for the community. We are overwhelmed by the fantastic atmosphere and the creative exchange among fans," says Theresa Witt, MAG-C project manager at Messe Erfurt. Nastassja Köhler, managing director of Crexpro, which exhibited as the event’s new lead agency, adds: "We have been involved with MAG-C from the very beginning, and I can say that this year, we set new standards in design and interactive programming. From Glambot highlights for visitors to elaborate photo spots, there was so much to experience—not just to buy."
Plans for next year are already in motion. The 2026 MAG-C, which stands for Manga, Anime, Games, and Cosplay, will take place in Erfurt on 31 January and 1 February—a little earlier than usual.
