Originally launched in Japan in April 2020 as the My Nintendo app, it has now been rebranded as the Nintendo Store app and launched worldwide for Android via Google Play and for iOS via the App Store. The app allows users to browse Nintendo Switch systems and accessories, as well as physical and digital games and other Nintendo products and merchandise. However, it is not possible to make direct purchases; instead, users are directed to the My Nintendo Store or the eShop.

Furthermore, users can stay up to date with Nintendo games, check in at events and receive notifications about sales of games on their wish list. They can also sign in with their Nintendo Account to view their Nintendo Switch 2/Nintendo Switch play activity. Nintendo: "If you had a Nintendo 3DS or Wii U system, you can see your play activity logged prior to February 2020."
