Mit sofortiger Wirkung senkt Sony Computer Entertainment Europe die unverbindliche Preisempfehlung für PlayStation 2 auf 129,99 Euro.

Noch vor Beginn der GC - Games Convention hat Sony Computer Entertainment Europe die unverbindliche Preisempfehlung für PlayStation 2 gesenkt. Ab sofort liegt der Preispunkt der Sony-Konsole europaweit bei 129,99 Euro. Zugleich sinkt auch die Acht-Megabyte-Memory-Card im Preis: Für den unverzichtbaren Speicherstick werden ab jetzt 19,99 Euro fällig. Mit 40 Mio. bislang in Europa ausgelieferten P2-Konsolen soll der neue Preis die Nachfrage im Vorfeld des PS3-Launches nochmals anfeuern, so der Konsolenhersteller.
