Headup Games and Dvora Studio have announced a publishing deal for The Coma 2B: Catacomb. The two companies will work together on the latest game in the Korean survival horror series.

South Korean indie developer Dvora Studio, formerly known as Devespresso Games, and publisher Headup Games, now independent and no longer part of Thunderful, have announced a publishing partnership for The Coma 2B: Catacomb, a prequel to their previous collaboration - The Coma 2: Vicious Sisters. The game is scheduled for release on PC in 2024, with console releases to be announced.

Product description: "In The Coma 2B, which serves as a bridge between The Coma and The Coma 2, series protagonist Youngho has escaped the sinister mirror dimension known as "The Coma" and returned to his normal life of school and friends. While enjoying time with his beloved schoolmates, he finds he must return to the terrifying parallel world of The Coma and discovers a massive and mysterious facility below Dokaebi Market. Yungho will spend time in both reality and its dark mirror while avoiding dangerous foes, gathering clues, solving puzzles, and fighting for his life. Armed only with a flashlight and facing seemingly endless darkness, will he survive the horrors of these worlds?"

End of March 2024 Dieter Schoeller buys back Headup Games from Thunderful. The formal purchase price is 500,000 Euros. Thunderful had paid a total of five million Euros for Headup Games in February 2021 and committed to further payments depending on performance, so that a purchase price of up to eleven million Euros would have been possible (GamesMarkt reported). Headup is a hybrid games publishing and development company founded in 2009. "With over 80 million customers served on mobile and several million players on PCs and consoles, Headup is always looking to raise awareness and commercial success for developers who think outside the box," the company said.
