The German Federal Ministry for Research has made public four new games funding entries, of which one was already known: The enormous maximum amount of 8 million euros going to Rockfish Games in Hamburg for their upcoming project "Multispace", the next Everspace title.

Rockfish Receives €8 Million in Federal Funding for New Everspace Game
Hamburg-based independent studio Rockfish Games has received an €8 million grant from the German government to develop a new game in the Everspace franchise. This is the largest sum ever awarded by the Federal Games Funding Programme.

Another new project is breaking the two million euro mark: tobspr Games from Munich, shortly after releasing shapez 2 into the full version, receives 2,295,101 euros for "Project 3 (Working Title)", assumingly the third entry in the successful shapez franchise.

After one year and eight months, and with over 700,000 sales during Early Access, shapez 2 has left Early Access. This is a major success for tobspr Games, especially since the game has been significantly expanded for the 1.0 release.

601,923 euros go to SimLand GmbH, also from Munich, for "EVAC". And lastly, 195,777 euros are granted to Tap Nine UG (haftungsbeschränkt) c/o Volkmar Reinerth for "The Blackhole"
