Die erste Million Units der neuen Konsole PSP soll in Nordamerika mit einer Mini-DVD von "Spider-Man 2" gebundelt werden. Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will in diesem Jahr noch weitere Titel in dem neuen Format auf den Markt bringen.

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment führt parallel zum Launch der Konsole PSP am 24. März neuartige Mini-DVDs ein. Die erste Million Units der neuen Konsole PSP soll in Nordamerika mit einer Mini-DVD von "Spider-Man 2" gebundelt werden. Darüber hinaus werden "xXx - Triple X", "Hellboy", "Resident Evil: Apocalypse" und "Irgendwann in Mexico" im April auf den US-Markt kommen. Die so genannte Universal Media Disc kann im Gegensatz zu der vor allem von Warner Home Video unterstützten Mini-DVD einen kompletten Film auf einer Scheibe unterbringen. Ab Mai plant Sony monatlich vier bis fünf Titel in dem neuen Format zu veröffentlichen.
