UnternehmerTUM Establishes Gaming Initiative and Seeks Head of Gaming
The start-up platform UnternehmerTUM is planning a game tech initiative. Founded in 2002 by Entrepreneur and major BMW shareholder Susanne Klatten, the company is currently looking for a Head of Gaming to build the flagship program from the scratch.
UnternehmerTUM's new gaming initiative is being developed as part of the TUM Venture Lab for Software & AI. These TUM Venture Labs are the new initiative of TUM (Technical University of Munich) and UnternehmerTUM with other partner institutions and companies. The stated goal of the new gaming initiative is to support the next generation of first-class software start-ups in the field of gaming and entertainment technology. To this end, UnternehmerTUM is currently looking for a Head of Gaming Start-up Ecosystem who will build up the gaming initiative as its founding director and ensure its long-term success.
According to the job posting, the vision is to establish Munich as a globally recognized hotspot for innovation in the field of game tech. The tasks include both the development of the program based on the Resourceful Incubation model and its establishment and implementation. In order to find suitable start-ups, there will be an annual Munich Gaming Hackathon, among other things. At the same time, partnerships with other nationwide initiatives, universities, local hubs, and global tech companies will be established.
UnternehmerTUM was founded in 2002 by entrepreneur and major BMW shareholder Susanne Klatten as a non-profit organization to support start-ups and promote entrepreneurship in Germany. Today, UnternehmerTUM supports over 100 scalable start-ups from a wide range of sectors every year. According to its own figures, over 20,000 people are actively involved in this support, whether as partners, industry experts, scientists, or investors.
