Three further funding decisions totalling almost one million euros have been entered in the funding database since our last news item. In addition, the start of the term for Gaming Minds' Project Genesis, which had already been approved in 2023, has been postponed to 2025.

The latest positive funding decisions since our last article from the federal funding programme went to Rockfish Games, SimLand and Bigpoint. Hamburg-based mobile games company Rockfish is receiving over half a million euros in funding for Protospace. SimLand from Munich will receive just over 121,000 euros for Project Medic. And Hamburg-based Bigpoint, which belongs to Youzu, will receive around 280,000 euros in production funding for the mobile simulation game project SR2.

As can also be seen from the database, the funding period for Project Genesis has apparently been postponed again. It will now start on 1 June and end on 31 December 2027. Gaming Minds Studios' Project Genersisn already received a commitment of 1.7 million euros in 2023 (in German). The project launch was later postponed (in German) to 2024.
